Honoring Our Founder
The MLK Task Force of Cary owes its success to visionary leader Carolyn Sampson, who dedicates her life to community service and social justice. Under her leadership, the Task Force was incorporated and launched its flagship event, Dreamfest, in 1999.
Carolyn Shares…”Keeping The Dream Alive Is My Passion Because The Why Is So Great! Working On The MLK, Jr. Celebration Committee Was Suppose To Be A Short-term Committment, But It Became A Life-long Journey. I’m So Fortunate To Be Able To Impact The Lives Of Others, While Partnering With Some Of The Most Passionate And Driven Good Women, Men, Youth And Children On The Globe!
Over The Years I Have Devoted My Life To Human Service, Worked Toward Intellectual Preparedness And Excellence And In My Lifetime Have Been Affiliated With Many Organizations, Serving As Member & Leader And Have Received Awards And Honors For My Dedication And Work.”
